These Terms govern your access to and use of the App on iOS and Android. By installing, opening, or otherwise using the App, you (the "User") agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, incorporated by reference.
Primary language and market. These Terms in English are the official, legally binding version for international users. Any translation is provided for convenience only; if there is a conflict, this English version prevails, except where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. License
The Operator grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the Apple App Store and Google Play.
You may not: reverse engineer, modify, create derivative works, circumvent technical limitations, or use the App unlawfully or in a way that infringes third-party rights.
2. Account
The App works with an anonymous account created automatically. You may optionally sign in with Apple or Google to sync your data across devices. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the device and any sign-in credentials you use.
3. Age and capacity
You must be of the minimum age required in your jurisdiction to enter into these Terms (generally 13, or 16 in parts of the EEA) and have the legal capacity to do so. If you are a minor, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
4. Paid features and subscriptions
The App offers a free tier and an optional premium subscription ("Hira Premium"), which may include a free trial.
- Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices are shown in the App and may vary by region and over time.
- Unless cancelled, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period. You can manage or cancel renewal in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- A free trial, if offered, converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
- Refunds are handled according to the rules of the applicable store.
- You can restore purchases in the App.
The App contains no advertising.
5. Your content and data
You retain rights to the content you create in the App (such as bookmarks, notes, and habit logs). You grant us a limited license to process this content solely to operate the App and provide the features you use (including optional cloud sync). Most data is stored on your device; see the Privacy Policy for details.
6. Religious content and sources
- The Arabic text of the Quran is provided from public-domain sources.
- Translations and tafsir are provided from freely licensed sources; translations are interpretations and may differ between scholars.
- Recitation audio is provided from freely distributable recordings of reciters.
- Transliteration, learning materials, and "explain in simple words" content may be generated or assisted by automated tools.
We strive for accuracy but do not warrant that all content is free of error. Where exact religious obligation is concerned, consult a qualified scholar.
7. AI features — important
Certain features use automated processing (AI) to generate explanations or learning assistance. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and are informational only. They are not a religious ruling (fatwa), official tafsir, or professional advice, and must not be relied upon as such. Do not submit sensitive personal data to AI features.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the App, including by attempting to disrupt the service, access it through unauthorized means, infringe intellectual property, or use it for unlawful purposes.
9. Intellectual property
The App, its design, trademarks ("Hira"), and original software are owned by the Operator or its licensors and are protected by law. Third-party content remains the property of its respective owners.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer rights.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or where required by law. Upon account deletion, your server-side data is permanently and irreversibly deleted.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, by an in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the Operator's place of registration, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence. Where required, disputes are subject to the competent courts, subject to such mandatory rights.
14. Miscellaneous
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement regarding the App. App store terms (Apple, Google) also apply to your use.
